mmm, yeah that's true. Problem is the sort of OS such as Windows 7 is just the summit of all that went before in developmental terms.

It's just not going to get better in MS's business model. Innovation is not their thing to put it mildly.
Indeed....innovation will probably their catchline and their business model for Windows 8 or they risk the average consumer questioning an upgrade.XP->Vista was not favorable for most users until SP2...now it is a valid proposition. VistaSP2->7 is a valid proposition to take advantage of improvements to the NT6.1 Kernel and the desktop. If Windows 8 is just an improvement of the NT6.1-6.2 ideology than I will find it hard myself to upgrade from Windows 7

I'd just like to say, IMO windows 7 IS vista sp3.

There is absolutely no (good) reason for anyone to still be using vista after w7 comes out, thats how i feel anyway.

My funny remark was meant to be ironic, not sarcastic. (just for the record)

I am just a bit irrita..... surprised to see so many of your negative posts on Win7 and now MS.

I see your specs saying Win7 and Vista and I just wonder why you are not on MAC or Linux or CDOS or even XP, if you think they are superior?

Why would you install that non innovative crap (to put it mildly) on your computer, then register on sevenforums, become a Poweruser and then start a negative campaign on it?

I am not judging you. I just want to understand your demeanor.

I haven't yet seen any valid argument from you in this thread.
Saying CDOS could do what Win7 does except for the GUI, isn't adding to your credibility.

well Windows 7 for me 2 ( Dont need to clarify it ) :)

But I would like ask that " How Many Companies would Shift to Windows 7 in this stage ? " Vista had disappointed the corporate world too.(Dont quote me on this, use google).

The thinking of people (other than IT crowd ) regarding OS have changed cause of Vista. Most of them still prefer XP .But I really feel atleast in a year or 2 , i would love to see Windows 7 in corporate world too.

At personal level , Windows 7 is Best for me .

Companies will have to change to Windows 7 in the end. If there are good reviews on it, then the corporate world will inevitably switch. It'll just take time, but reception should be much better than Vista.

I used XP up until Win 7 RC 7100, tentatively messed with but generally bypassed Vista due to issues with speed. Have not looked back since installing a stable version of 7 and have no intention of reverting back to XP.

I still use both but W7 is the best. It will kill XP soon.

Seven, easily. First off, the GUI doesn't look like it was made by a childrens toy company. Second, the new taskbar alone makes it far better than XP in terms of productivity and ease of use. Lastly, it runs, and runs pretty well, on a friends 512mb laptop that I installed it on, so it's versatile.

Actually, Microsoft's business model is on it's way to recording the biggest revenue ever made by a company, in history...
