Install programs and application to other than C drive

    Hi,

Whenever I install any application or a program then I want that app or program to give me the option where I want to install it. Currently, they all are being automatically installed in C drive which I don't want.

    Any Idea???

When you install the programs select 'custom install'. That will let you put them on another partition/drive.

    Thanks for your reply!!!

I was getting this option for few downloads before but lately, only thing I get is "Next", "I Agree" and then "Install"....

I'm not getting this option now....Do I need to change any default settings to make sure I get custom install option every time I install an app???

    Thanks again!!!

Pretty much every setup file lets you change the default location to install to, although you may have to select "custom" or "advanced" settings first before just clicking "Next" or "OK".

Since every installer is different, there's no way for any kind of global setting that says "Always ask me where to install new software." I doubt even Microsoft could get thousands of other companies and coders to follow such a setting. :-P
