    Transferring the files through network (crossover cable) can be limited to the network speed (10mb/s, 100mb/s or 1Gb/s). A thumbdrive would be a good solution if werty can not get a USB HDD.

    Werty, what is the amount of data to be transferred?

    Use the network you already have. If you are already connected to the same router as the PC via wireless, you just have to share the files no need for network cables and USB sticks.
