Will this setup suffice?

I am planning to upgrade my current machine to have a video editing machine. I've been searching for computer shops near my place and I found this website to be the cheapest. http://www.interpace.cdo.ph/personal.pdf Please take a look at Package 7 with the i7 2600k CPU. Will this one suffice or is it overkill?

I have a Canon dslr which is capable of filming 1080p which is why I am planning to upgrade my current rig.

And do note that the rates are in Philippine Pesos.

I am planning to upgrade the RAM to be atleast 8GB. My current 4GB serves me well but I think I will be served better with atleast 8GB of RAM. And also, I have been itching to try a SSD so this will be the perfect time to try it.

It says there that the 2nd Generation Core has a built-in high-end VGA. I still have to check what their high-end really is. If it is not enough, I would include a video card on that list.

The package also includes a motherboard though it was not stated there what specific model it is. And also I would inquire about the PSU.

DVD writer: Samsung SATA; 780; good price

Monitor; take your pick; guessing 5000

Case fans; probably two; guessing 1000 for a pair

CPU cooler: about 1500, but you can remove this item and use the stock Intel cooler, which is fine for a non-overclocked system.

Graphics card: take your pick and do research necessary to choose proper card for video editing; A midrange card in USA would be 5000 to 7500 Philippines.

Woah! I did not expect a quick reply I was thinking of reading replies the tomorrow morning (10:30pm here) but I just quickly checked anyway. Thank you for the recommendations! I will surely take that to heart. As for the components that you are unfamiliar with, those are the common ones here. If those are a little bit expensive to you, wait until you know the prices for the ones you know about (if you are lucky enough to find them here )

Anyway, I now have specific parts of what I would but this Christmas. I would most likely be postponing my plan to buy a new camera lens but this purchase will surely be useful.

Why do you think grahpics cards can cost up to and over £400 if the ones built into a system are capable as something as demanding as video editing.

There is no point having a 12 core hyperthread cpu when your restricting yourself to such a massive bottle neck as integrated graphics.

I did not know that what was included is a integrated graphics. I guess I was taking their word for it. Nice catch!
