    Deleting "Item Can Not Be Found" ?


    So I just installed windows 7 and im trying to delete the Windows.old folder but there is a item inside that can not be deleted, any way to delete this?

    Try using a utility to find / delete it. (perhaps via an admin CMD?)

    i know how you feel i use a program called unlocker

    it remove or delete or copy files by forces and also informs you if its successful.

    hopes this helps it always helps me

    Oh it does works on Windows 7 as well..

    Oh it does works on Windows 7 as well..
    Any other program like that that works on a 64 bit? unlocker doesn't work for 64 bit.

    Just take ownership of the file and delete it...easy peasy

    Every time i've had this message it's because the file has already been deleted. I normally just F5/Refresh the screen & it vanishes.
