Safe mode in dual boot

    Safe mode in dual boot


    I have just installed win 7 and got the dual boot with windows Xp, which I already had. now I want to do safe mode of windows Xp tapping the F8 during the boot, but nothing happens....no safe mode at all. What happened ???
    I cannot rich the safe mode even in win 7. I don`t know why ???

    on my system I need to hit F8 just after I select Windows XP from the boot manager menu.

    btw, if you have a USB keyboard, make sure USB keyboard support is enabled in your BIOS.

    You can always set the current OS you're in to boot in safe mode next time using MSCONFIG.

    In addition to the above, Windows 7 uses the same method as Vista below.
