    Windows Explorer Crashes when attempting to create a new libraries


    Every time I try to create a new library or even right click on library Explorer stops working and restarts.

    Any ideas??????????????

    Hello AngusCameron, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You might see if downloading and merging the library-ms option in the tutorial below may be able to help by it restoring the default associations and registry entries for libraries.

    Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Still not resolved


    Brink thanks for the response, I ran the library-ms but I am still getting the same problem.
    Even right clicking on the top level libraries ICON generates a Explorer has stopped working........then Explorer is restarting.????????????????

    You might see if doing a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before this started if available may help fix this for you.

    You might also try running sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt to repair any corrupt Windows files.
