harddrive locked unable to transfer file even after changing to full c

Hi everyone i am currently having problems trying to tranfer files to my internal harddrive it stated that i have the drive write protected. I have changed permission to full control..both under properties and also under hardrive management but the only thing I have not been able to change is special permissions.. i have also tried changing all inherited children too but these have not helped.. also .. I do have a couple of usb harddrives connected at the same time .. and this issue seem to occurs only when there are a number external drives attached..

I had this same problem with an external WD drive.
If your drive does not have the OS on it, I suggest you copy all data to another drive. Adjust permissions of the copied folders and files.
Then go to Administrator Tools>Computer Manager> Storage>Disk Management
Right click the drive and delete the Volume, then You can format it and copy back the data.

One possibility comes to mind, but I don't know how likely it is. When devices don't get enough power, they act freaky. Maybe when you connect many USB devices the power supply can't handle it and and underpowers the internal HDD - which then objects by issuing the errors you're seeing. I wouldn't put any money on this as a possibility... but that's the only explanation I can come up with.

well the harddrive is an internal hardrive in a laptop and its the second time I have reinstlalled Windows seven due to the fact that I had the sane issue before .. and I screwed up the setting by playing with the permissions..... due to being frustrated with being unable to move. or copy files .. I know there are. ongoing issues with seven .. but I have been unable to resolve it ..even with changing permissions ..I have even uninstalled bitlocker incase it was causing the problem ..
