Thank you.

You get to evaluate every single Microsoft product including Operating systems, Servers, Office Applications, etc... No time restrictions as long as they are used in accordance with the licensing terms.

I hope the SP 1 will include stuff that will make '7' shine more.

Dang, '7' is just that good (at least for me).
i don' t know in my universe Windows 7 has it's usual sh*tload of bugs.
Either bad driver interaction, or just plain: reboot to get it working again.
Especially waking from sleep the gentle giant doesn't take to too well.
Half of the running programs come up messed up, or the system just crawls to a standstill. Or it just wakes up all sunny and happy. Bit of a hit and miss there

And why do i have to change my audioendpoints from speakers to digital, play a bit, switch back to speakers to avoid only 1 channel working?

And, and ,and. The list is long.

Then all the retail dvd's people bought will be redundant as they go in search of the integrated 7 SP1 .iso.

What would be great would be if I could download said ISO from Microsoft at the appropriate time, burn it to disc or USB and then just put it in the box with my retail dvd and use my serial Number.

Whenever a service pack came out for XP, I used it as the opportunity to download the standalone installer, install XP and the SP and then do a clean install from there. - If microsoft could make that even easier for me that would be great!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with Windows 7.

I installed Windows 7 on a 5 year old pc and except for the SATA / Raid Controller, everything else is fine.

Oh, I just fumbled around with synchronising my PDA with Bluetooth, Drivers were not installing and having problems, but I kinda let Windows searched for the drivers and it worked.

I know I can't expect it to be perfect as most of my stuff are legacy devices, but I'm overall happy with the outcome.
