How do I restore windows 7 fonts after they were wiped out?

My windows fonts were a wiped out after a windows 7 update. Just displayed garbage. Happened before and I just did a restore from before the update. Tried to go back but all restore point were gone this time. Got enough fonts back to run the system . How do I restore them all without re-install. Also tired to use powerpoint viewer but not working.

    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

If you know someone with a Windows 7 or Windows Vista computer, copy the contents of their Fonts folder to a media of your choice, then paste the fonts into your Fonts folder.

Create a backup copy of your Fonts folder after you've refreshed it.

Dont blame windows for what happended to your fonts, check your hardware like hard disk or memory for errors.

Have you tried first in Control Panel => Fonts => Parameter => Restore default font settings...

Here a list of the default fonts in windows 7:
    Fonts supplied with Windows 7

still having issues with fonts when rebooting

Ok. Copied fonts from another computer, installed the fonts and worked great until I rebooted then, fonts all gone. I have a fix but, does anyone know of a permanent fix since this is only temporary.

    thanks

Are you using the install option or simply copying to the fonts folder?
