As the only User, why can't I delete some folders I created?

Something I've never got to the bottom of: occasionally I find I cannot delete a file or folder which I had created and which is not set to Read Only, apparently because I need permission from the Administrator. The Permissions for such files and folders have not been tinkered with, at least not by me. Since I am the only User, am I not also the Administrator? My User Account is set to Administrator status.

    Hi Orpheus2000,

Your user profile may be corrupt. Copy all the contents in folders created by you on C: drive to another partition or external usb drive.
Change your user account name, re create it correctly then delete ALL of the old account. Also start using a password if not doing so already.
