Windows 7: hp dv with win 7 still runs

windows 7 ultimate 64bit
hp dv with win 7 still runs

just replaced the motherboard on my dv9205 with a later model dv9913 motherboard
works ok everything on the screen is a little wide the graphics card rating in windows 7 system properties is 1.0 should be a 4.1 and it runs superpi slow 45 sec but downloads transfers files ok could this be i need a later model screen know or what could be the problem

If you haven't reformatted it could just be driver noise.
I would do a clean install after changing something as major as a motherboard, even if the replacement was similar to the original.

You swapped motherboards without re-installing Windows? If so you may want to consider doing a clean install. I didn't compare the two but if there are hardware differences you may be running with incorrect or missing drivers. Have a look in device manager and see if anything is flagged as having an issue.

WDC Green: 750 GB runs Hot, 4 TB runs Cool ???
I have two external hard drives, both in Vantec NexStar3 USB enclosures. The older 750 GB WDC Green drive runs HOT to the touch, the 4 TB, and the 2 TB before that, run pretty warm but never hot. Why might this be, and would that much heat cause earlier than necessary drive failure?

GTX 470 and GTX 570 which runs cooler ?
My gtx 470 is running between 70c to 80c ( when runnig games ) after I return to the desktop in less than a minute it lowers to 39c-42c Is that normal on gtx 470 ? I'm considering to upgrade to gtx 570 but other than graphics is there any deference in temperature ?
