    Accidentaly Shift Deleted Photo Folder - Recovery Possible???


    i accidentaly shift deleted (thats permant delete fwiw) my photo folder (large folder tons of shots) - is there any way possible for me to recover it - desperation is setting in

    You could try some of these freeware programs Easus Data Recovery or Recuva they are pretty good

    But don't save anything to your hard disk or you risk overwriting the data, download it to another drive (USB is fine) install it to another drive and you will need to recover it to another drive. I have had much success with Easus in the past.

    i found a program called Pandora (free also) which has found all the files and is slowly (very slowly) recovering them. anybody know how good the program is - or should i just cancel the recovery and use the ones recommended ITT? Looks like it will take 4 -5 hours.

    Can i use my machine to watch movies while it does its work?

    Pandora I used once many years ago, to be honest they all use the same principal and for free versions theres not much between them. I wouldn't advise watching movies while the process completes, probably not a problem if watching straight from an optical drive with your spec though.

    If what you are using does not work try this in Windows.
    It worked earlier today to recover all the movies he deleted.
    See here> I accidently deleted My Videos folder and emptied recyble bin

    I've used Pandora Recovery previously.

    I once overwrote my user files during a HDD upgrade (long story).
    It worked for me (it recovered about 95%+ of several thousand files).
