Empty Folder that has size to it

Hey all. I just reinstalled windows 7(32bit) and my windows.old file, which doesn't contain anything in it except for empty folders, still has size to it. Does anyone know what the deal is with this? Never had this happen to me.

The show hidden files/folders option is ticked and still shows nothing. Is this a glitch?

Never had that either! I would try un-hiding the operating system files (for now) and also taking ownership of the Users folder inside windows.old replacing the ownership of all the contents too.

windows might not be able to read the files. I see it's in a folder called React. I assume that's react os?
or uncheck "hide protected operating system files"

Thanks for the feedback. I feel so ignorant that I didn't uncheck "hide protected operating system files" in the first place. However, that didn't seem to clear up much space after I deleted the hidden op files, only around 200mb. Still left with around 3.2gb. I took ownership of that folder and it's files/folders inside and it's still not showing anything.

I would had just deleted it in the first place(the windows.old folder), but was just more curious than anything.
