Windows 7: Stuck in temporary profile after partition resize

Stuck in temporary profile after partition resize

I've been trying for a couple days to get my windows seven out of temporary profile mode.
Last weekend I downsized a document partition to grow the windows partition by 15gb, using ubuntu's live-cd gParted program. And now I'm stuck with what to do.
So far I have tried fixboot, fixmbr, rebuildbcd with no luck. (with windows cd recovery console)
I am unable to access any type of administrative tools when i fire up windows (after starting explorer.exe manually). I have a basic windows desktop available to me, but like I said I can't open explorer or control panel, as i get either an error :
"explorer.exe No such interface supported"
"::{string of numbers and letters} No such interface supported"
Concerning cmd.exe, I can launch it and explore my partitions but everything else seems locked, and I can't run it as administrator.
It seems like windows has rearranged its letters too; windows used to be on E: but now finds itself on D:, and the cd drive has gone from D: to E:.
Trying to run regedit says that it can't find D:\Windows\regedit.exe and running regedt32.exe is the same.
I hope someone can help,
Thank you

I've tried re-writing the partition tables with testdisk under the windows recovery system cmd.
No luck there but I don't know if that's the option I've got to use.
Any suggestions?

Use modern Win7-era tools for Win7 like free Partition Wizard bootable CD which has helped with thousands of complicated resizing operations here without a single failure.

Boot into PW CD, rightclick Win7 partition to Explore making sure your files are intact.

Next make sure the Win7 partition or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred if you have it) are still marked Active and if not rightclick partiiton to Modify>Set to Active.

Next click on HD to highlight it, from Disk tab select Rebuild MBR, Apply, reboot.

If Win7 doesn't start, boot into Win7 DVD System Recovery Options or System Repair Disk
to run Startup Repair 3 Separate Times to repair or rewrite the System boot files to Active partitiion.

Change the Active flag from SysReserved partition to Win7 partition itself to try Rebuild MBR and 3 Repairs again to exhaust all possibilities.

If Win7 won't repair then you can copy out your files using DVD/Repair CD: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Then run Factory Recovery from its partition or using Disks you made if you have factory OEM, or boot the Installation DVD to clean reinstall following these steps to get it perfect: Reinstalling Windows 7

Temporary profile
As a previous post states, "Every now and then, when I log in, it says Loading Desktop instead of Welcome, and it logs me into a profile." But in my case, I have, unfortunately, a much worse situation :( You see, I had to keep a program file on the desktop of my main profile because it would...
