Encrypted files cannot open after reformat

    Encrypted files cannot open after reformat


    I have some files encrypted with EFS and i reformatted my PC now i cannot open these files.

    Is there any way to remove EFS now or those files are just Junk

    If you did not back up the key, those files are lost.

Recently some damage happened to a user account with lots of encrypted files (virus or something), and now the files aren't accessible, even with that account (which is the original account that encrypted the files in the first place).
