Files won't stay pinned on the taskbar. Any advice?

    Update: I guess this is a good amount of time to report. I haven't had the problem since. So I guess I am all good. Thanks everyone for your advice and help.

I've got two laptops here. Both running Windows 7. On one when you pin an item to the taskbar and run that program it does not open another icon on the taskbar. On this one it will open a new icon on the taskbar. Why is this the case and how do I fix it please?
I have Minecraft pinned on my task bar, but when I click on it, it opens up a completely different cube on my task bar. I have tried re-pinning the other one that opens, with no luck.. Screen cap --> http://i.imgur.com/e48aa.jpg

I seemed to have lost the ability to "pin" Outlook & IE8 & some others to the taskbar. I'm sure it had something to do with my "fingerer poking". :) Please let me know how I can re-start it. Thank you, Joe
