My computer and My Documents not opening.

    Quick thing I need too tell you, my computer won't update, look.

    You have backups? Do you have a WindowsImageBackup stored on your external drive where you are backing up your data?

    I cannot believe no one asked you before. Alright, what you need to do is go into backup and restore and Create a system repair disc (it's in the list on the left when you open up backup and restore)

    To get to backup and restore: Start Menu->Control Panel->Under System and Security->Backup Your Computer

    Edit: You need a DVD or CD to burn the repair disc to.

    It is actually pretty easy. You don't need the repair disc afterall

    Connect your external drive with the backups on it. Go into backup and restore (Start Menu->Control Panel->Under System and Security select Backup your computer) Select recover system settings or your computer.
