don´t see the windows 7 animation boot

it has to do with the resolution on the tv

switch to a regular monitor and youll see the animation

I'm using windows 7 that I downloaded from technet so i'm not using some hacked iso so that's definitely not the issue for me.

I can confirm from my own tests that it is definitely based on the resolution of the display device. The first tv i had the computer with the vista boot animation issue hooked up to via hdmi was a 32inch native 720p display. So I took that computer and hooked it up to my 40inch 1080p native display and got the win7 startup animation. I figured 720p should be fine to get that win7 startup so I did some more tests and it turns out that the 720p tv starts up in 480p for whatever reasons until it boots into windows (I guess the tv is dependent on the device attached to tell it what resolution) while the 1080p tv doesn't care and is just always in 1080p by default.

So, I don't if this is the issue for everyone who has this problem, but I can definitely back-up the people who said the problem is due to the display device resolution during boot up.

Well, I have a Samsung 2493HD monitor (naitive rsolution 1920x1200) and an old 19" CRT (1600x1200), and BOTH shows the "vista style" boot sequence. So for me it has NOTHING to do which monitor I connect. (of the 2 I own of course!).

Obviously you and the other person showing these same issues got the same file. Sounds like some sort of frankenbuild/mix with vista.

I have the same image as anybody else inhere (hash confirmed), so no, it is not that either. As I recall it, Sven did an install with the same image on his laptop, and the animation was on his laptop, but NOT on his desktop PC (both installed from same image). Please, stop this nonsens about wrong images. This could be true when it was all new, but not anymore. Sven and I have had this issue since Beta 2!

I can't flash a newer BIOS, as there don't exists a newer one than what I'm using right now.

I stand corrected, and proven wrong. It would seem, based on the evidence presented, that Win 7 produces the boot logo from a set of references and not from a single image.

I have read text regarding the boot screen process being completely re-worked. The speaker did not call it "the boot screen process" - but this is what he was referring to.

There appears to be a bit of legacy unwashed from the new process.

The foregoing is purely supposition. This post serves to admit my error. Sure am glad I did not wager to eat my hat.

the ISO is ok, HASH chcked, it's the RTM final build.
installed it on 10 computers and laptops and they got the 7 animation.

i think its just a resolution thing. i don't have another monitor to check if will get the 7 animation but i think that this is the case.

I have had this exact symptom ever since I first started using win 7 build 6*** right through to the lastest RTM. I personally feel that it is not display but video card related. I have always had the vista startup wif my old Geforce 8600.

I tested this with a different PC with RC1 installed and with onboard video I got the animation after installing a video card it changed to the old vista one.
