Windows 7 log-in screen shows two of the same user account?

    Windows 7 log-in screen shows two of the same user account?


    Hi, when I turn on my computer, or bring it back from sleep mode, there are two of the same account. Basically it shows the user boxes with the same name twice, (both with the same password, picture, etc.) It's not really a problem, just kind of annoying to me for some reason. Is there any way to fix this?

    Hello Arm4L1t3

    Go to Control Panel\System and Security\System\advanced system settings. Under user profile settings how many profiles are there excluding the default one.
    Also check C:\Users. How many are listed there.

    There are two profiles besides the default one under "User Profiles", and 4 under C:\Users: "Philip" (my admin account), "Public", and these two weird accounts "UpdatusUser.P-Alienware" and "UpdatusUser.P-Alienware.000". (Those two somehow originated from the name of the computer, I name all my computers on the homegroup P-*manufacturer* or P-*what i built*)

In W7 (as in others) you can have different User accounts, BUT, is it possible to have a different Screen resolution for each account, so that when one changes from User to User the Resolution changes with it? If so, how? TIA.

this must've happened after an update, but now when i turn on my PC, i need to click on my user name to continue to load windows i'm trying to find the fast login/welcome screen section to turn this off so windows loads without any input from me cheers
