Hi all, I'm something of a n00b here on SevenForums, but I was a loyal lurker over on the Vistax64 site. I was a supporter over there (and donated to Brink's build), I'd be interested in becoming one here but haven't found a link. Could someone PM me with the details?

And please forgive my tardiness for joining the fray over here...

As you contributed to brinks build you get one here also

    Welcome to the other side.

Nice site, I like it. I upgraded from Vista Home Premuim to Windows 7 Home Premium and I liked it very much.
But, Having downloaded a driver from Epson for my scanner which worked okay, I discovered that Epson do not have a driver for my printer (which I can`t do without) after having phoned Epson and talking to one of their people, they suggested purchasing a new printer and began to inform me of all their compatible printers, I butted in, and informed him that I was not interested in a new printer only the driver which they can`t provide.

So, I had to reinstall Vista Home Premium, so that I can still use my printer, even though I liked Windows 7.

Epson have no plans to bring out a driver for my printer - Stylus Photo P50 - in the near future

Hello Dunsailing, welcome to Seven Forums!

I had a brand new Epson printer that wouldn't work because it needed a firmware update that Epson wouldn't issue, I threw the d*mn thing in the trash and I'll never buy Epson again.

Dunsailing - just wondering if you'd tried installing the printer driver for Vista using compatibility mode on 7 before dropping back to Vista. I had a similar issue with no 7 driver for an old ATI TV Wonder PCI card, but installing the Vista driver for it fixed it right up...

Hi Bare Foot Kid, thanks for the welcome.
Shame about Epson not being able to provide me with the driver I need.
I`ve got an old PC which I can load the Vista OS onto (and the Printer) then I`ll upgrade the PC I`m using now to Windows 7. Create a home network, that way I`ll still be able to use the printer (I hope).
Why do these companies make everything difficult
