    Windows 7 is nice.

    Don't like that if you turn UAC off Gadgets don't work but Gadgets clutter is up i feel.

    Do they slow down the PC a bit?

    It uses a fair chunk of memory and does slow down startup a bit.

    I have UAC turned off and I have ported my Vista Sidebar across as a workaround and this will show you how much memory it uses.

    Assign a drive letter to the partittion in Windows 7.

    Start>Search for Run> type in 'diskmgmt.msc'

    From here right click your vista partition and assign it a letter.
