    explorer stops


    I just registered in this forum to find a solution to my problem with windows 7 ultimate.
    Now I have problem finding a tab in forum's hmo screen to start a new post. Thats why I have to reply to a non existing post. Sorry about that.
    here is my problem:
    Recently when I try to save a picture or pdf file from internet, as soon as hit save, I get this message: Explorer stoped working , restarting explorer.
    I appreciate any help.

    Hi Bahman, welcome to the Seven Forums.

    When you want to start a new thread, choose first the right subforum and then click the New Thread button:

    To fix your issue, in my opinion the first thing to do is to try the system file checker. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories, right click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator from the context menu.

    When command prompt starts, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

    Explorer stops working


    Explorer stops working and restarts itself when I try to save afile from internet.
    Appreciate any help.

    Hello bahmanbahrami,

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

    Try starting IE with no add-ons. Start/all programs/accessories/system tools. If you don't have any problem then you know it's an add-on causing the problem.
