    the past sure is tense

    Good Morning Folks.
Just cruisin through at the moment. Obviously very excited about Windows 7 but doubt I'll do anything about trying it yet.
Thing is I've got Vista running as sweet as a nut and don't want to screw it up.
I was going to try a dual boot but it sounds a bit complex. Would I have to reinstall Vista when the 7 Beta expires?

Great to see some familiar faces (well, avatars) so hello to you all and great job making this forum look good.
    Best wishes, John

Hello johnwillyums, as we say around here;..... welcome to the dark side.

No John, dual booting is not hard at all and you don't have to do anything to your Vista when you are ready to remove Windows 7. When you want to remove 7, just use EasyBCD to remove the boot entry, then format the partition 7 was on and it's all gone. I've done it more times than I can count; not one time has it bothered my Vista. Have a look at this Video.

    Introductions...Hello Everyone!

I figured I'd stop in here & say hi to everyone before starting to post in here so that you'd have a bit of an idea of who this guy is!

I've got quite a bit of computer knowledge, but am always open to learn more!
I got a tweak OCed system for gaming mostly but also use it for other things as well.
Currently I have 3 OS that I bounce around from being XP/Vista & the new W7.

I was a a Pro Rock guitarist for about 20 years & now just hang out at home tweak'n & optimizing my OS & computer to get the most out of it!

So with that said Hello everyone, I'll see ya around the forums! :)

    Hello MUff1n,

    Welcome to the forums.

I don't have a reg entry, but you can type 'services' in the start menu search bar same as in Vista. You can enable/disable etc from there. Don't know if that's what your after.

Hi MUff1N, welcome to the Forums and I'm sure someone will answer your question soon enough, although you will probably find the answer quicker if you start your own thread, Good luck!

You could try these if you like I have used them in Vista and Windows 7 and they seem to work OK Windows service Tweaks.zip Just remember to Create a restore point before you apply any changes.

Thanks guys, I already edited my post as I found the info I was looking for.
But I do have a few other questions & I'll look for the appropriate forum thread to post it in or start one if need be.
