    Seeing that you're now using XP you'd probably do better with the 32-bit version to start with.

    Thanks Ted and mansrm81 for the welcome, as I said I'm just here to learn about how things are shaping up with the new OS as it will be a few years before I probably get my hands on it so the more I know the easier it will be when it happens

    Hello Joan.

    You do know they're about to release the first public beta of Windows 7; either this month or next. Why don't you start getting prepared to dual boot it with Vista; all you'll need is a partition to put it on, by its self. That's what I'm doing with the pre-beta, Vista on one partition and Windows 7 on another partition. Even better if you have another HDD to put it on.

    Of course we're here for any information about this you may need....
    (it's not as scary as it sounds)...
