Windows 7 error:''consider replacing your battery''

So yesterday, i opened my laptop to change the keyboard. But
when i turned the laptop again, everything worked except that
at the batttery icon there is an X. And if you click it
it sais ''consider replacing your battery''
    What to do ?

If that popup has occurred and the battery is more than a year old it is probably time. One way to find out is to condition the battery. Run the laptop on battery only until it shuts down from lack of power, then leave it off and plug in the ac adapter.

If you still get the pop up after that it is probably time for a battery.

I just dont think it is the battery. Because it happened right after the repair.
I have read that it might be a BIOS lack and you must reset it.
Are there any porgramms that can test my battery ?
Also DELL'S program sais that i must replace the battery.

Can we get your system specs so we know what hardware we are dealing with?

    How old is the battery?
