Acer laptop will not get past splash screen

Hey SevenForums, not quite sure if this thread fit in this section but, i tried my best! Please move this thread if i placed it wrong thanks :)

Acer Aspire 4810TZ will not load past acer splash screen. It says F2 for setup at the bottom of the screen but, i press (keyboard works fine) but, it just keeps loading. So basically i have no access to anything from splash screen.

I have removed battery, power cord - restarted without and both etc.

I have not reset CMOS but, everything seems to power up and there is no other external device connected.

I have reseated the RAM and additionally tried to boot without them, i noticed that trying to boot without RAM the motherboard didn't make any sounds.

Try resetting your BIOS back to default.

    Hey, thanks for replying.

The problem right now would be to access BIOS, since i can not navigate from the splash screen. And as i said earlier the keyboard is not defect. Any other way?

When it freezes at the splash screen it usually means that there is a hardware failure in the PC. Serious enough that the BIOS will not initiate the boot sequence.

It could also be a checksum error, which would be fixed be clearing the CMOS and allowing the system to create a new checksum. Clearing the CMOS is different on a laptop than a desktop, and different on each brands machines. Can you find and download a SERVICE MANUAL for that laptop?

You could try a manual resetting of the BIOS defaults: remove the power cord and battery, then press and hold the power button for 15 to 30 seconds. Then connect everything and try again.

How can you be sure the keyboard is OK?
