    Windows explorer not responding


    I had this pblm of windows explorer not responding 1year back wenever i try to open a folder containing videos.. Then i formatted windows and installed windows 7 again it was working fine but suddenly from 3 or4 days back i am experiencing d same pblm wen i copied some video files from my frnd.. I m not able to access any folder containing videos.. Is it some kind of virus??? Always it not working properly wen i access videos in a particular folder... I have to start task mngrn end process explorer.exen start again.. Does anyone have a solution.. Tell me wat to do... Should i format windows again???Pls help me...

    I normally use vlc media player ver 1.1.11 but i hav installed many players like mpc,gom,km playres,etc..

    Use Process Explorer and find out what's running under Explorer.exe process.

    How to find wats running under explorer.exe it is showing explorer as a folder symbol..

    Can you post a screenshot of what's running under Explorer.exe using Process Explorer?

    There is no suspicious thread running under explorer.exe. As rightly pointed by Koolkat, uninstall all media players and reboot the system. Then try to access the video folders. Its probably due to bad codecs.
