How to handle and difference of USB storage and in Camera USB storage

Windows 7.
With Google I couldn't find answer, how to handle USB removable media inside camera.
With camera there is no "Safely remove hardware and eject media" option.
When Photo camera is connected, a new camera device is installed and GUI window is opened with option to browse or copy photos. But there is no removable storage devise eject button on notification area. The USB removable Storage devise is also present on File Manager Computer left panel but again, there is no mouse right button eject option as normally with removable storage devices. I have checked in on several computers. How to understand. I don't believe that it's camera specific but Camera is Canon S95.
Any ideas?

Can you set the camera to "Disk Mode"? If so, it will treat the camera as a flash drive.

The camera is in USB dissc mode - as it's present in File manager (explore) Computer left disk panel under camera as removable media.

But it's somehow treated differently.

It's too easy and doesn't work due to domain security policy. But problem obviously isn't security because it's the same on all type of Windows 7 PC's, even when not a domain PC.

There is something by windows 7 design, how in camera removable media is treated, which unfortunately has been left out of Windows 7 user manual.

There is no user manual, and it isn't a Windows 7 problem, or else everyone would see this behavior. If you know that none of the photos are open or are being copied, you shouldn't haven't any issues pulling the cable out.

That being said, card readers are dirt cheap, so it would be worth it for the simple fact it saves your cameras battery when you need to copy photos.

If you are on a domain, and think that a card reader won't work, then someone on your IT staff has been tinkering with group policy and may have caused other issues.

That is a direct question what is the difference between removable media in USB or card reader and removable media in camera. Please don't offer any card readers - these are forbidden for this purpose.
It's obvious that there are different device profiles and in this case the "in camera" removable media is nested in camera device as removable media in File manager view.

It looks like Windows 7 ( and probably already Vista) has a special device treatment for this purpose, which seems to be not known.

I have different cameras and used to copy photos on all possible ways and that isn't the problem but the question is of a new camera device interface I probably even haven't seen before. This offers different camera centered options and certainly is by w7 design. And I don't know how to use it.

I guess I'm missing the actual problem then. Can you still copy off your photos? If so, and the only problem is that you aren't given an eject option, then don't worry about it.

Since this appears to be a company system, there's no way we can tell what policies have been edited or what other apps are installed that could affect this.

The question is how Windows 7 works and about Windoes 7 less known functions and not how to copy. I see that there is a different profile for camera and want to learn what's behind it.
I want to understand why in camera profile removable media doesn't have eject button and what is the benefit of omitting this eject property.
