Printer Spooler on but not working for HP printer -RESOLVED

HP has monitoring files that are installed on your system when you add a HP printer from the disk or a download.

    1. Delete the following files from the PC:

    C:\windows\system32\HpTCPMon.dll, HpTCPMon.ini, HpTCPMib.dll,any other files with HpTCPM*.*
No need to reboot. Make sure the print spooler is started:
Start--> type Services.msc in the search box, Hit ENTER key, Double click on SERVICES, click on PRINT SPOOLER and then the START link on the left side of the window.

Open PRINTERS AND DEVICES, all your printers should reappear. You may need to reinstall your Hp printer.

Hello Everyone! I've got a SOLUTION!

I think I have Window 8 but I think this will work regardless. I was reading everyone's reply and I got confused (like download this software or go find the spooler file , I don't even know how!). I'm not very good with technology but I did what I thought would work. Guess what...it did!:)

Go to the "Control Panel" --> Click "View devices and printers" --> Select a printer --> right click on the printer --> Then Click "Troubleshoot"!

During the Troubleshoot detection process, it'll see that the spooler needs to be fixed so it'll state that as it is being fixed. Then at the end, the Troubleshoot program will give you a beautiful summary stating on the left that the the spooler print service was inactive, THEN on the right it'll say FIXED! This worked for me and I hope it works for you :)

Please help I need to completely reinstall printing subsystem

    Hi Shawn,

I was wondering if you might help me.

My print spooler was replaced by something else and I can't find any way of uninstalling it.

It's causing problems with other software on my computer.

I've tried everything in this thread but no luck.

Is there any way to completely remove the printer spooler and spoolsv.exe and reinstall?

    Hi all

thanks for any replies that might be forthcoming.

I have this same problem, with my printer, well 2 printers actually... I have a little basic HP Deskjet 1514 and an Epson WF-2630WF.

Ive tried restarting the spooler in services.msc again, though it was definitely set to automatic and I still have same issue.. It's driving me mad... I'm also partly not that good at some of this stuff anyway..

I have an error message from running the troubleshooter on it, as it seemed it didn't like that either..
    The error message is 0x80070057

It seems things are still getting stuck in the print queue and going no further than that.
If anyone could help me out some more with this issue I'd be very grateful.
