Anyone else kind of disappointed?

I really wish MS would've added new featured from the RC to RTM timeframe. A lot of icons are left unchanged from Vista's, plus the taskbar could've been reworked a lot.
They can't spend new UI and news ideas on a RC OS...

One step at a time... news things only in Windows 8 now...

I just came back from helping a friend with Vista.

Man am I happy I never installed that **** on any of my machines.

The most stupid UI I ever saw.

Every thing is where you would least expect it.

Makes me even happier to come home and find my sweet Win7 machines
You think Vista's UI is the stupidest you've ever seen but you love 7's UI? They're not that much different, really.

Anyway, no, I can't say I'm the least bit disappointed with 7, especially compared to XP.

I think they look alike but 7's makes much more sense.

Options in Win7 are much more where you'd expect them to be.

In Vista the UI is a mess imho.

Just helped a guy with his network and can't believe how much time I spent on it in comparison with Win7.

I love windows 7 so far but it has its quirks also, like the file in use bug and the under performing superfetch

I Agree. Some minor quirks, and even some bigger ones. but when you realize it's a pre updates and pre SP1, it is a true milestone.

Agreed. 7's quirks are nothing compared to the issues that plagued RTM versions of every other Microsoft OS prior to 7. I miss using 7 every time I'm at work and have to resort to using an old XP machine.
