    Msdia80.dll on my F: ( Files drive )

Mr. Google gave me this link ( FIX: The Msdia80.dll file is installed in the root folder of the boot drive when you install the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package by using the Vcredist_x64.exe file or the Vcredist_ia64.exe file ) and i tried the solution and its an epic failure it gives me an error saying:

The module "driver:\program" failed to load

Does anyone know the correct fix for this under 7 ultimate or can i just delete this file right away ?

Also the VC folder is not there by default.

The other thing would have been to correct the syntax of the command. It should have been:

    regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC\msdia80.dll"

where c:\ is the drive holding the root directory for your Windows 7 installation. Note also the quotation marks around the full path to the executable. The terminal isn't very smart and without them thinks a space character is a parameter delimiter, hence the specific error message you saw.

The (correct) command should also be run from a terminal that has administrator privileges.
