you know if you install windows fresh, does it come with any drivers but like they're not extracted so to speak so that when i plug a usb in it extracts and runs the driver thus downloading it? but before i plugged the usb in it hadn't been activated?

But no worry if you install windows 7 fresh your USB ports will work (although it did on my pc). And maybe some other devices like video card will be preinstalled it depends on your hardware

Generic drivers are included in Windows 7. So, some peripheral devices when detected by the OS may work with the generic drivers and some may not. They are not being downloaded, however, merely accessed and installed locally on the computer, if available.
