Files missing (folders still on HD)

So today my sistes logged into his account and her files are missing, the folders are still there, but with nothing inside.

Just to clear things up: I had an old xp install and moved all the files to another hard drive, then i installed seven and just moved the files from the other HD to her desktop into his user folder. (my files where on the same HD and they're all fine)

Someone can help me here? those files are forever gone?

    Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have two user profiles which are similar. Hermana and Hermano, as an example. You moved the files to Hermano but logged on as Hermana. The system/shell folders would be there, but the files would not be.

    Logged on:
    C:\Users\Hermana\files...

    Looking for:
    C:\Users\Hermano\files...

    Pun intended.

I think i got it, but...there's something i can do to get those files back? Right now there's just 2 accounts on the windows install, and their names are very different.

If the files are only moved to other folders that you don't know, you can search for the files among the folders by logging in each account, or try disk analysis to get a whole view of your files storing situation intituitively.
If you mean those files are causually removed from folders, then you may try file undelete to retrieve it from your HD.
