type MS config in start/run, go to start up tab & remove the items you don't require on start up. also: since when are you having this problem?

Post a snip of the startup tab before you disable anything. Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

If you remember since when this is happening, you can try restoring to a restore point before this happened.

Did this problem begin immediately after installing new RAM? If so, remove it and try booting. I put new RAM in my system, and it took over 5 minutes just to get to the password screen.

You will need at least one RAM module to boot.

Try a restore point from December if you have one.
