    Windows 7 Reduced To Nothing!

Ok, so my laptop was running fine until i restarted it. Then it seemed to be running in a 16 bit mode, it has 6 processes running (but it says 22), I cant right click, and the internet will not work! Nothing is working! I have restore disks but I want to see if anyone has a solution to this crisis.

download Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware (free version) and do a full scan and see if it finds anything.

Same way they posted here, from another computer. Just put it on a USB key and get it there that way.

Your windows 7 is 64-bit as per your specs and you say windows 7 is running in 16 bit mode. Windows 7 64-bit does not have 16-bit mode. Did you see this mode in task manager?

About the 6 processes you see and 22 it says on Task Manager, try clicking the check mark on "Show processes from all users".

You can try SFC /SCANNOW command on Command window with Administrator privilages.

Perhaps if you re-boot and run chkdisk.

OK, so I winrared a video of the problem. Malwarebytes did not find anything so it has to be something with the OS. I have had the display problem before and fixed it by changing the desktop from Windows Classic, now i can only choose one thing, windows classic. I saw dwm.exe is not running under the processes, could that be it?

I have tried the Malware scanner, I have tryed changing themes, i have even tried starting in safe mode to start vital processes, nothing has worked. I am currently reformating a 1tb hd so I can put important files on to it, then restore my laptop wih my back up discs. I have also looked on the windows restore, it says the service is not started and that is the same with my internet.....
