Hello Brickcitypimp, and welcome to Seven Forums.

As a test, download and merge the Folder option listed in the tutorial below to see if that may help allow you to create a New Folder afterwards. It restores the default associations for folders.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    thanks
i just downloaded and merged just about if not all of those..and still nothing...im gonna cry..haha

Did you restart the computer afterwards?

Is it only these two locations below that you cannot create new folders in?

If this is from within your C:\Users\(user-name)\My Music and C:\Users\(user-name)\My Documents folders, then also try using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore their default locations to see if that may help afterwards.

What do you mean "give up?" This does not compute. We have no solution for that.

If SFC has not helped, then your next step it to System Restore to before the problem arose, then consider a Repair Install

If your Music was in the Music user folder then it should appear when clicking on the Start folder. You'd only add other folders from your computer or the network to that library if you wanted them there.

Try typing some titles in the Start Search box to see if it can find your music or any other missing files/folders. If results appear then rightclick and choose Open File Location to see where they are now located.

For your Music library, you could use the tutorial below to include the two default folders below. :)

    Library - Include a Folder

    C:\Users\(user-name)\My Music

    and

    C:\Users\Public\Public Music

um.. i lost all my files due to my pc restarting after a program download and then it wouldent fully restard..
    Hi,

This sounds like it could be a malware infection - what was the name of the program you were downloading? What antivirus software was installed at the time?

Perhaps we can help you get setup with some security software once your PC is back in a decent working order.

    thanks guys.

i have a question....lol yes another one cuz my pc is pissin me off..haha.......

ok.. i click start and go to music...i have 1 folder in there that i made.. its called new..it is empty as i have no music at all on my pc. ok so i right click and want to make a new folder, it makes a new one.. it just wont show up. then on the left panel i double click music and it expands to 2 diffrent folder or sections or w.e. u call them.

one is my music and one is public music. why is it that when i create a new folder in music it wont show up there but i click on my music and its in there? THEN i click back on music and its in there aswell..HAHA

i swear i never had any problem with the music folder like i am now.. its insane.
