    Runtime error 6016

    Hi

A window keeps appearing when I start my computer that says Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Dell Support Center\pcdrcui.exe R6016 -not enough space for thread data

Can anyone help me solve this issue? Thanks.

This is part of Dell's service offering. Perhaps it has become corrupted.

Personally, I find these things a pain, but if you need to keep it running... Have you tried downloading the PCDoctor suite from the Dell site and uninstalling and reinstalling it?

If you dont need it, you can uninstall it, or disabled it rhough MSconfig.
Also, if you know when this error started, you might try a system restore to a point before that. Have you recently upgraded the product?

Thanks for the reply TanyaC. I could not find the PCDoctor Suite you recommended on Dell's website, but I did find the program Dell Support Center. I downloaded it and the problem was solved. I think the problems all started when I accidently ran Comodo registry cleaner. Thanks for all your help.

FWIW, registry cleaners are snake oil that have little to no useful function.
