Remove Desktop from Explorer Navigation Pane.

What my plan is, is to remove Desktop from the Navigation Pane maybe using a Registry Hack but I think if it did, it would remove the others too since they expand from Desktop. I never use Desktop from Navigation Pane and just find it to be a nuisance to always have it collapsed and just remove it instead. Is there any method of doing this please?

    Example below:

I have already removed Favourites and if I can get Desktop to be removed I will remove the Homegroup and Network from that too using Brink's already made Tutorials.

Goto Folder options and in the Navigation pane untick Show all folders.

Yes I know this but that removes the User Folder, Control Panel and Recycle Bin which I want remaining.

And it leaves gaps between each Section which I don't like.

Isn't it possible (ergo easier :) to modify the attributes of the folders whose behavior you want to modify?
