Why is my Startup folder empty when using Explorer?

When I view my Startup folder by going through the Windows-7 Start orb, and then selecting "All Programs", I see four files. But when I use Windows Explorer to view it, the Startup folder is empty! If I drag a file into the Startup folder using Explorer, only that one file shows up. But if I view the Startup folder by going through the Windows Start orb on my desktop task bar, and select All Programs, the Startup folder now has that new file that I dragged in using Explorer, AND the four other files that were there already. So, why does my Startup folder show different number of files depending on HOW I view it? What's going on here?

Click the start orb and then right click "All Programs". Select "Open" and you get your start menu. Select "open all users" and you get the all users start menu. Each one has its own startup folder. Each user has their own startup folder.

    Hi alpha,
Thanks very much for your quick reply! I did not realize that there is a separate Startup folder that includes programs from each User's Startup folder! That explains why I see only one file in my Startup folder (even though I am the "Owner"), and I see five files when I go through the Start orb because that Startup folder includes ALL users! I learned something new today, and I thank you again for the information.

No problem, stick around and you'll learn a lot more, I know I have.
