    Search box contains only category: "Files"

    Hi all

    In search box after searching I can see only category "files".

    That means:
    I can not see category as: (programs or control panel) which are really important for me.
    &
    I can not run any program directly from there(ei. cmd) or find by natural language (ei. device manager)

    Thank you very much for help

    Which search box are you referring to, the one you see at the botton left of your screen when you click the start button or the one at the top right of the Windows Explorer screen?

    Try the steps here Index Locations - Add or Remove to see if you can add the search categories you wish to see.
    To restore the default index options have a lok here Search Options - Change or Restore

    Have you tried this;
    Open the Search and Indexing troubleshooter by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click View all, and then click Search and Indexing.
