not able to format C drive !!!

I'm pretty sure you can delete the partion, and then format

Vista is the active partition with the boot files on it? Is this a dual boot set-up?

It might be me but I can't eedit drives under Windows 7 setup when in a live envrioment of Windows 7...just checked

you were right zidane, you can only format the drives if you boot from the disc

It is better that way...editing drives live is risky
