How Do I Move My Documents To Desktop?

How Do I Move My "Documents" Folder To The Desktop Like It Was In XP?

The Library concept is interesting but cumbersome for what I do. The only thing I have been able to do is create a shortcut to my librarie's "Document" folder.
I want the "Documents" Folder on my Desktop.

You can make a folder on the desktop saying "My Documents"

Then go to Start--> Open the "Your user name" folder. The "My Documents" folder in there, right click on it and go to properties.

There should be something about "Target"

Click Browse and point it to the "My Documents" folder you created on your desktop. Click ok.

If this has helped you, please rep.

Click and hold My documents folder with the right mouse button and drag it to your desktop. When you release the button, you get a small menu, choose Create Shortcut Here.

Creating the shortcut is IMO the best possible solution, if you don't want to relocate the documents folder. OP mentioned "like it was in XP". In XP it was just a shortcut to My documents folder.
