    It is odd for sure that a png would animate. In my limited GFX knowledge I thought, as you, only gifs supported animation.

    Can you save it as a gif?

    The funny thing is that if I save it as a .gif, it is all black as you have seen.

    Have a look at the first posting now, it seems to work again after I took another screenshot with Jing. But I did nothing else. The gremlins are really at work.

    What is also funny, run the posting up and down with the wheel and you will see.

    I think I know now what is happening. The Print screen or the snipping tool only record a frame plus a link to my desktop. I was wondering anyhow because the resulting .png was only a couple of hundred Kilobytes. That cannot be enough to hold an animated graphics.

    When I turned the fireplace on my screen off, the animation in the snip stopped also. What is scary though that in order for this to work, there must also be my IP address in the uploaded .png. I have therefore deleted it from my first post here and from Photobucket. It would be a formidable entry point for malware.
