Windows 7 will not boot up

I have windows 7 home premium. Just recently I was unable to boot up my computer. I have done the startup Repair which will not work. It lists this as a Root Cause:
Unspecified changes to system configuration might have caused promblem.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this without losing everything on my computer?

    Thanks,

Have you done any changes to your system as suggested by the message ?
You may have to run startup repair up to at least 3 x. Give it a few more tries and post back.

    Welcome to SF, Bare.

Did you make any hardware changes to your computer?

When you boot into System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair, does it show an installation to repair that is the same size as yours?

Startup Repair should automate System Restore but if not run it from the options list manually.
