Update (copy) file to multiple places in directory structure

    I have a directory structure
    root
    1
    sida
    0002-A.xlp
    2
    sida
    0002-A.xlp

    ...

Where a file can exist in multiple directories. Now I need to update the file and it would be nice to just be able to copy the changed file to all of the directories that contains the same file (filename). It can be anywhere from 1 to a couple of 100 copies.

Is there a way in Windows 7?
Anyone knows of a tool that does this?

Syncback works really well for me: I have two separate machines with complicated folder structures required for a 3d software I use. I also use Synback for doing same-computer-backups. Should work well for you.

Use hardlinks....one file with multiple aliases.
