Wrong time on clock after windows re-install

    I've tried them al they all give an error message

    You said you lost 14 years of data. May I ask how old your computer is, and what OS you're using? :)

    If your set time is off by much, it may not be able to synchronize. That's why you must set it to be the exact correct time first. You will know if it actually synchronized if you get the successfull message like below when you try afterwards.

    Have you already tried everything in the tutorial below to try and solve the error message? Part of what I mentioned above is in it.

    1 yr old Dell Inspiron 580 1.5 Tb HD 8Gb RAM

    An error occurred while Windows was synchronising with time.nist.gov. The operastion returned becasuew the timeout period expired.

    The clock was most recently synchonised on 15/1/12 at 16:02 - my radio clock in my room said 16:08 at the time.

    I get that same message with that provider. Use the dropdown box to change the provider to time.windows.com to see if that works.
