    Hi,

I suspect this is related to your malware problem you had here:

The windows security center service is turned off.

Which virus were you infected with? How did you re-enable Security Centre in that thread?

    Hello Amir Tava,

    I agree with Golden.

In addition to what Golden posted, you might see if using step 1 in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below may be able to help enable the "Action Center" system icon.

System Icons - Enable or Disable

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Run SFC -SCANNOW Command if you haven't yet.

Further probs may require a Repair Install

    Hi,

I'm a bit perplexed as to why you needed to download files from a Skydrive account to fix the problem. What is the source of that file, and also the registry key?

I'm not sure this is the best fix for your problem. You never said which virus you were infected with, so its almost impossible to diagnose the problem. and suggest a fix. The virus infection could have tampered with a lot of other things too....

Yes if a reformat was a clean reinstall of Windows eveything will revert to new condition. You should still do a full system scan with a good AV or malware scanner. Link to free MalwareBytes in my sig, update it and do full scan.

Never download and install reg keys from the net unless you know what they will do and know the source is trusted, such as this forum.
