    System32 Folder -- msimg32.dll

I am having some trouble here. I think that I have tried almost everything. I had a malware attack that I have now taken care but I suppose that the .dll file msimg32 got corrupted. I am trying to update to the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player and I get an error stating there is an issue with this .dll file. I tried to download a clean file from the internet and then copy and paste that into the system32 folder, but it would not allow me to do so. It said I didn't have the proper rights or authority. I tried this both as myself and in SAFE mode.

I think that I have tried everything, but I am sure there is some way to correct this file. Help me please.

Unfortunately, I did try this and there were no issues found with the files during the scan. I am just completely lost on this and not sure what the issue is....

You will need to either change the permissions on msimg.dll - or -probabaly easier- just replace it from outside windows.

Use a boot disc of some kind.

If you haven't got one - d/l the free rescue kit from Paragon - burn it to cd - boot it up, Select Normal Mode>File Transfer Wizard.

Pretty obvious how to work that once you see it.
