How can I get my folders to open again in Windows 7?

I have win7 Home 64bit version. Suddenly, my folders will not open! This happened suddenly. The folder icon appears in the taskbar when I try to open a folder, however there is no way to open it. Yes, I tried clicking the new folder icon on the taskbar, doesn't work. Only thing I can do is "close folder". Please advise.
    Thank you.

P.S. I have searched google and here already looking for this same problem and cannot find it.

Hello Tom, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like the folder may be offscreen. If it is, then the tutorial below can help show you how to drag the folder window back to your desktop to see it again.

Offscreen Window - Move Back to Desktop

    Hope this helps,

    SOLVED.
Thank you, Brink. 7 Forums Rocks!
I thought my PC had a serious virus, or an issue that would require a reinstall.
    Thankfully NOT.
The solution is simple, but it is something that one might not normally consider.

You're most welcome. Yeah, it's usually something that comes up more often when you use multiple monitors. :)
